JD95 Based on 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from an older block in this larger vineyard, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Fairchild G-III offers a distinct iodine character as well as notes of sappy herbs, damp earth, tobacco, and beautiful black fruits. Rich, full-bodied, concentrated, and textured, it's a classic, ageworthy, almost old school-styled wine from this team. Aged 22 months in new French oak, give bottles 3-4 years and it should evolve for two decades or more.
