Product Description
WS95 "A dense profile emerges as this red goes from cherry and black currant fruit to iron, cedar, earth and spicy oak flavors. Muscular tannins guard the lingering, persistent finish. Youthful and exuberant. Cabernet Franc. Best from 2021 through 2033. 415 cases made, 35 cases imported." BS for WS Feb 2018
Monica Larner for Robertarker.com writes, "Tenuta di Trinoro is very consciously located far away from the Chianti Classico appellation. Because this estate exists in a location that is absolutely void of neighboring wine estates, I have decided to add these notes to this report. Honestly, there is nowhere else to put them until Trinoro gets its own appellation (something I hope is in the works). These are outlier wines in terms of style and substance. Solitary and introspective, Andrea Franchetti is one of Italy's most focused and talented winemakers. This is a beautiful set of new releases, and I'd like to draw your attention to the three single-vineyard expressions of Cabernet Franc now in production. Each is exciting in its own distinct manner." Published: Oct 31, 2017
