AG97 The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon is in the zone. It continues to come together beautifully. Graphite, leather, sage and lavender play off a core of dark cherry/plum fruit, lending notable savory intensity throughout. The 2014 is in fine shape for drinking now and over the next decade or so. This is a terrific example of the vintage and a wine that captures the essence of place.
JD97 There are 804 cases of the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon VHR, a beautifully seamless, full-bodied, ultra-refined 2014 that shows the round, supple, sexy style of the vintage. Offering lots of ripe black fruits, spring flowers, lead pencil, and even a hint of iron, it has remarkable purity, that rare mix of richness and elegance, supple yet present tannins, and a great finish. It’s going to evolve nicely for another two decades.
JS97 Such balance and precision now, with blackcurrants, raspberries and hints of walnut husk. The tannins are totally resolved, with a creamy texture and a tangy and fresh finish. Lovely tension and focus at the end. In a very good place. Drinking beautifully now.
