The color is an opaque bluish purple, and the wine has an exquisite nose of spring flowers, blueberries, black raspberries, graphite and forest floor. Stunningly rich and built like a skyscraper, but without any sense of heaviness, this is a multi-dimensional, profound example of 2014 and certainly one of the wines of the vintage. Drink it over the next 25 years, and if you have some discipline, push away thoughts of consuming it for at least another 2-3 years.
