Product Description
RP99+ "From the highest density vineyard planted under the Cayuse label, the 489-case 2014 Syrah Armada Vineyard is about as umami and earthy as it gets. Smoke, fireplace, mushroom, black cherry, currants and olive notes all emerge from this rich, backward, tight and structured Syrah that has incredible purity of fruit, a saline/bloody, meaty character that develops with time in the glass, and tons of tannic bite on the finish. Forget this incredible wine for 4-5 years and enjoy over the following two decades." JD for TWA Jun 2017
Jeb Dunnuck for RobertParker.com writes, "I think the 2014 vintage from Christophe Baron will go down as one of the truly great vintages of the estate. The wines are notably deeper, richer and more concentrated than both the 2013s and 2015s, yet they have fabulous purity and elegance. While the ship has long since sailed with regards to getting on the mailing list, these are singular wines well worth the effort to track down on the secondary market." Published: Jun 30, 2017
