Product Description

BH95 "A cool, restrained and unusually elegant nose combines various red berries with notes of dried flowers, freshly turned earth and sandalwood. There is excellent volume and intensity to the focused, intense and quite powerful medium weight plus flavors that culminate in a driving, even explosive finish that coats the mouth and lingers for an impressively long time. I very much like the harmony of elements though note that this exceptionally intense effort is unlikely to be an early drinker." AM for BH Jan 2015

VM94+" Dark red. Reticent but pure aromas of raspberry and crushed rock. Silky and sappy on entry, then suave and sharply delineated in the middle, conveying an impression of vigor to its perfumed flavors of dark fruits, minerals and noble herbs. Perfectly integrated ripe acidity contributes finesse. This very sophisticated Clos Vougeot delivers a compelling combination of gras and vibrancy. Really stains the palate and echoes on the aftertaste, with the firm tannins buried in fruit. A beauty." ST for VM Nov 2014
"Since the outset, Etienne Grivot has viewed 2012 as a great vintage for aging. "The wines are perfectly harmonious and show a rare expressiveness. Two thousand twelve is close to my ideal vintage, like 2002." These brilliant wines from a tiny crop should be very long-lived." Pubished Nov 2014
