Product Description
LP97 "Deep garnet-brick in color, the 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Coeur de Vallee opens with notions of sauteed herbs, pencil lead, and smoked meats over chocolate-covered cherries, menthol, and blackcurrant cordial at the core. Full-bodied, rich, and spicy, the palate is jam packed with bright, youthful black fruits, framed by plush tannins, finishing long and lifted. The blend is 76% Cabernet Sauvignon and 24% Cabernet Franc coming from Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard." Lisa Perrotti-Brown for the Wine Palate Aug 2025
AG95 The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Coeur de Vallée is wonderfully open, silky and expressive from start to finish. Freshly cut flowers, red berries, mint and sweet spices all make an appearance in this polished, hugely refined Cabernet. Hints of tobacco and cedar add to the overall impression of pure refinement. In 2009, the Coeur de Vallée includes 24% Cabernet Franc, which gives the wine much of its sensual inner perfume and sweetness.
