Product Description
RP97 Deep garnet in color, the 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard The Grand Daddy begins a little shy, soon opening out to reveal beautiful notions of fragrant soil, potpourri, menthol and cigar box over a core of Black Forest cake, stewed plums and warm cassis with a touch of licorice. Full-bodied, the palate is completely coated with maturing black fruit compote and spicy sparks, framed by velvety tannins and just enough freshness, finishing long and perfumed.
JD96 There were just 154 cases of the 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard The Grand Daddy, which is all Clone 4 Cabernet Sauvignon. Gorgeous blue fruits, graphite, iron, and floral notes emerge from this beauty, which has incredible complexity, medium to full-bodied richness, and both integrated acidity and tannins. It's more about elegance and complexity, and I absolutely love its overall balance.
