Product Description
Bright blackberry aromas accented with floral notes, a bit of exotic spice and a good dose of wood charm on the initial attack of the 2006 Pavie Macquin. There is surprising freshness on the palate that accents the supple tannins to draw this wine to a lingering finish. Although most of the vines are on the limestone plateau near Pavie, this estate shares little in style with the estates owned by Gerard Perse. This wine is approachable now but will continue to improve for another 10 - 20 years. Charles Curtis DC
