Product Description
DR95 Showing a good depth of colour, this has an exuberant nose with lush, smoky, overtly fruity raspberry aromas. The palate is very rich and concentrated, a mouthfilling wine typical of this great vintage, but it's still taut and youthful. An assertive wine which shows terrific energy and vibrancy with fine acidity, and excellent balance and refinement for Clos Vougeot. Very long.
BH94 Moderate oak influence sets off earthy and ripe aromas that slide into equally earthy iron-infused, somber and intense flavors that are big, opulent, weighty and culminate in a rich, full, well-muscled and hugely long finish that really coats and stains the palate. The firm tannins are suave and the backend explosive and while this is carrying plenty of oak, there is so much mid-palate density that the wine should be able to integrate it with a few years in bottle. A terrific effort that possesses dramatic power.
