DR95 "A riper, warmer year, marking the start of Napa Valley’s shift towards a riper style, "though I can’t say I ever entirely embraced it," said Cathy Corison during a vertical tasting of the Kronos Cabernet from a private room at The Progress in San Francisco—Ruby red in the glass, bricking at the rim. Riper dark cherry aromas emerge, along with smoky mineral notes and cedarwood. Medium-bodied, with vibrant cranberry and cherry fruit and dried currant, tobacco, bay laurel, and sage, underscored by a saline minerality.
