DR94 "Dark mahogany. Deliciously old world on the nose – all Bordeaux prune and graphite, with a hint of volatility making it really jump from the glass, its savoury core making the mouth water in anticipation. Still taut on the palate, the currant fruit is in plentiful evidence but laced through with oak spices. There is a definite lifted freshness from the acidity of a cool microclimate that this single vineyard enjoys. Long, sinewy, savoury and extremely elegant; a wine that showcases winemaker Marcus Notaro’s definition of the vineyard’s potential to produce fruit and wines with soft power.
