Product Description
DR94 "The 1995 Groth Cabernet Sauvignon is compact, compelling, and delicious at 29 years of age. Made by Michael Weis, it boasts blackberry fruit, graphite, and wild herb notes, with layers still yet to unfold. The wine offers excellent mid-palate weight, striking salinity to the minerality and a long, dusty tannin finish. In this vintage, additional grapes were sourced from Jean Phillips’ Screaming Eagle site for the Napa Cabernet. Sampled during a vertical tasting of Groth wines (1982–2022) in early 2024 with proprietor Dennis Groth and winemaker Ted Henry." JC for DR May 2024
