Fevre Chablis

Domaine William Fevre is Chablis' largest landowner, holding over 70 hectares in the prestigious Burgundy appellation. Though the estate was not formally established until 1959, the Fevre family possesses a Burgundy winemaking legacy of 250 years, crafting mineral-driven Chardonnay from the historic Kimmeridgian soils. Now owned by DBR Lafite of Chateau Lafite Rothschild, William Fevre wines are as coveted as ever.

Fevre Chablis: Grand Cru Burgundy Excellence

Fevre Chablis is regularly cited as the appellation's top producer, with famed critic Allen Meadows of Burghound referring to the domaine as "the brightest jewel of Chablis." With sites in Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards, Fevre Chablis is an exceptional Chardonnay, celebrated for its mineral-driven character, white fruit and floral notes, and light-bodied mouthfeel. Each vintage follows meticulous techniques, including hand-harvesting, rigorous sorting, and aging on 6-year-old new French oak for 13-14 months. The domaine's Director, Didier Seguier, has led the charge since 1998 and has grown into one of Burgundy's most renowned winemakers. Under Seguier, Domaine William Fevre became the first Chablis producer to become HVE3 certified for its biodynamic farming.

Intent on keeping the Kimmeridgian soils healthy, Fevre Chablis utilizes sustainable techniques to fully express the marl and limestone minerality in each bottle. Furthermore, Seguier implemented Diam agglomerated cork closures to prevent premature oxidation, which has become a pressing issue for Burgundy white wines.
