Scarecrow M. Etain Wine
Scarecrow’s second label, M. Étain — a cheeky French reference to the Tin Man (Monsieur Étain translating to “Mr. Tin”) is a more approachable, juicy style that can be enjoyed at a younger age and a lower price point.
Scarecrow’s Monsieur Étain - The Tin Man
As the second label of renowned Scarecrow, Monsieur Étain lives up to the estate's Hollywood-esque legacy. According to chief winemaker, Celia Welch, the label is a more gregarious, lovely, and approachable bottle compared to Scarecrow. While not as sophisticated, M. Etain possesses more fruit-forward flavor due to the young age of the vines and chewier grapes chosen for final bottling.
These winemaking choices reject the "Old Man" vines Scarecrow became so iconic for, illustrating the estate's versatility. Etain is sold at a fraction of the price of the grand vin, yet bears the same essence of the Scarecrow brand.
