Bryant Family Vineyards - 1997 Late Release Winery Direct

From time to time, wineries will release Library wines from their cellar to their mailing lists. The 1997 Bryant Family from this collection is just that. For those of you who are not on the mailing list, now is your opportunity to collect the Epic 1997 Cabernet that Redefines Greatness!" Bryant and Grand Cru have done the cellaring for you and you can relax and enjoy this exclusive vintage!

This iconic producer, known for its Cabernet Sauvignon, sits on the esteemed Pritchard Hill region of Napa. With the first vintage released in 1992, the small production and high quality of the wines brought the producer to a quick success and makes them some of the most sought after. Don and Bettina Bryant purchased the 13-acre vineyard and hired esteemed winemaker, David Abreu, to manage the cult winery. David Abreu is known for his association with other famous producers, such as, Harlan Estate and Screaming Eagle.

Bryant Family Bettina

The Bettina Bryant is a new wine Don Bryant has dedicated to his wife Bettina. The Bettina Bryant is a new wine Don Bryant has dedicated to his wife Bettina made from fruit sourced from David Abreu's vineyards Madrona Ranch, Thorevilos and Lucia Howell Mountain.

This vineyard produces wines with extremely high ageing potential, putting vintages from the 90s and early 2000s at the perfect stage for drinking, and the younger bottles perfect for collecting. The low production and high demand for these iconic bottles make them a rare find. Buy and enjoy the Original Cult Wine, Bryant Family! What wine lover can pass up drinking and collecting! Like Lisa Perrotti Brown says about the 2009, "there's also no time like the present!"

Critical Acclaim:

"I have consumed several bottles of the 1997 Cabernet Sauvignon Pritchard Hill. One of the most awesome young reds I have ever tasted, it possesses a black/purple color, a seamless texture, and freakishly high levels of intensity (cassis, black and blueberries infused with espresso, chocolate, and licorice) that are flawlessly presented in a full-bodied, massive yet elegant wine. Nothing is out of balance in this explosively rich, thick, highly-extracted Cabernet. A compelling, historic Cabernet Sauvignon, it will drink well for 30-35 years.  It is not too much to suggest that in the future, Bryant's Pritchard Hill Cabernet Sauvignon might well be one of the wines that redefines greatness in Cabernet Sauvignon." Robert Parker ~ 100 Points
1997 Bryant Family

"Deep garnet in color, the 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon struts flamboyantly out of the glass with notions of creme de cassis, blackberry pie and plum preserves plus hints of cigar box, Chinese five spice, sauteed herbs, cast-iron pan and charcuterie. Full-bodied, rich, seductive and oh-so-decadent, it has a firm level of beautifully plush tannins and loads of exotic spice and savory layers, finishing long and mineral laced." LBP Jan 2020

In 2009, Mark Aubert was winemaker at Bryant Family. These 2009s are aging gracefully, still possessing loads of bright fruit, yet shifting gears into tertiary complexity. While there is no rush to drink these, there's also no time like the present!
